INTERNSHIP PROGRAMME [2023]

MANMEET KAUR

PhD candidate, Panjab University, Chandigarh, India

BIOGRAPHICAL NOTE

I am a researcher and curator from Chandigarh, India. I am an Art History and Visual Arts doctoral candidate at Punjab University in Chandigarh, India. My dissertation focuses on the British and Indians interactions through visual art and architecture. My primary area of expertise is Art History and Aesthetics. I explore all areas of interest without limiting myself to a particular one. My research bridges the gap between established artistic methods and emerging forms of expression and new media. Given the rapidity with which the world is evolving, I find myself enthralled by any and all contemporary art that is created, manipulated, or broadcast through the use of media technologies or interactive art. I find museums and magnificent pieces of art to be endlessly fascinating. In addition, I am a young curator who has organised a number of exhibitions and is now working in upcoming curating projects. I have participated in conferences and seminars in as well as written a book and other articles related to Visual Art.
