This is an online educational programme developed within the framework of ARCHIVO.
It extends ARCHIVO’s ongoing commitment to critical inquiry into photography, archives, and visual culture through a structured offer of courses and workshops.
The ARCHIVO EDUCATION programme is open to all.
It is particularly suited to visual artists, researchers, students, and professionals working with photography, archives, and visual culture. It also welcomes participants with a strong interest in these areas, including those from independent or non-academic backgrounds.
Bringing together diverse perspectives, the programme fosters a dynamic environment for interdisciplinary exchange across artistic, curatorial, and research practices.
No formal prerequisites are required.
However, the programme assumes a willingness to engage critically with texts, images, and discussions.
Courses are theory-led modules delivered over four weekly sessions, focusing on critical frameworks, case studies, and discussion.
Workshops are intensive two-day formats that combine a lecture and reading session with a practical, hands-on component.
Both formats reflect ARCHIVO’s commitment to connecting theoretical reflection with practice-based inquiry.
All sessions take place online via a video conferencing platform.
Access links and materials are shared in advance of each session.
No. All sessions are held live and are not recorded.
This reflects ARCHIVO’s emphasis on presence, dialogue, and collective discussion as core components of its pedagogical approach.
Sessions cannot be accessed afterwards or repeated. Each course and workshop is conceived as a continuous structure, where live participation is essential.
For this reason, full attendance is strongly recommended.
Each course and workshop includes a limited early bird period with reduced pricing. Once this period closes, the standard fee applies.
Early bird places are limited and allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.
No additional discounts are offered.
The pricing structure is intentionally set at the lowest sustainable level, in line with ARCHIVO’s commitment to accessibility while ensuring fair remuneration for invited mentors.
Yes. Courses and workshops are independent but complementary formats.
Participants are encouraged to engage with multiple offerings as part of ARCHIVO’s broader programme of activities on photography and the archive.
Yes. Participants who attend all sessions of a course or workshop will receive a certificate of participation upon request.
In the rare case of cancellation, participants will be offered a rescheduled session or a full refund.
Following registration for a course or workshop, participants may request cancellation and a refund within 48 hours of completing their registration.
After this 48-hour period, or once the course or workshop has commenced, registrations are considered confirmed and refunds can no longer be issued. This policy reflects the fact that the viability and delivery of ARCHIVO programmes depend on the number of confirmed participants.
Within the 48-hour cancellation window, participants are eligible for a 90% refund of the registration fee. A 10% administrative fee will be retained to cover processing and administrative costs.
