DR. ANA CATARINA PINHO

Ana Catarina Pinho is invited assistant professor at the University of Coimbra and research associate at the Art History Institute, Nova University of Lisbon, currently developing the project “A War of Images” as a research fellow of the Portuguese Foundation for Science and Technology.

Her research examines the intersections of lens-based media, archives, and cultural memory, with particular emphasis on vernacular image cultures, historiographies of violence, and the visual regimes of propaganda and conflict.

Since 2012, Pinho is the founder and director of ARCHIVO Platform.
