doplgenger (Isidora Ilić and Boško Prostran) is a Belgrade-based artist duo founded in 2006. Regarding moving images as a supplementary social formation, their practice critically examines media and historiography through experimental and avant-garde film techniques. Working primarily with appropriated footage, they deploy archiveology—the reuse, recycling, and borrowing of archival sounds and images—to deconstruct collective memories and expose latent future pasts.

Their works are held in public collections in Serbia and have been shown internationally at institutions such as Anthology Film Archives, Walker Art Center, Carnegie Museum of Art, RISO Museo d'Arte Contemporanea della Sicilia, National Gallery of Macedonia, Moscow Museum of Modern Art (MMOMA), Museum Wiesbaden, Zachęta Project Room in Warsaw, Fundació Antoni Tàpies in Barcelona, Centre Pompidou in Paris, Anya and Andrew Shiva Gallery in New York, Stedelijk Museum Bureau Amsterdam, Osage Gallery in Hong Kong, and the Museum of Contemporary Art of Vojvodina, among others. They have participated in biennials including the 55th and 60th October Salon in Belgrade, the 22nd Sesc_Videobrasil Biennial in São Paulo, Ostrale Biennial O21 in Dresden, Tallinn Photomonth, and Videonale in Bonn. Their films have been screened and selected for the International Film Festival Rotterdam, International Short Film Festival Oberhausen, Seattle International Film Festival, Kassel Documentary Film and Video Festival, European Media Art Festival in Osnabrück (EMAF), Experimental Film and Video Festival in Seoul (EXiS), Vienna Shorts, and the Festival des cinémas différents et expérimentaux de Paris, among others.

Recipients of the Politika Award "Vladislav Ribnikar" and international fellowships, Ilić and Prostran are editors of volumes Amateurs for Film (2017) and Film and Struggle (2025), and founders of the Transimage platform for the politics of moving images in Belgrade.
